The Requirements

To be a strong fit for the role of Call Center Representative, you will have:
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience (retail, food service industry, hospitality, etc.); call center experience is a plus

    • Working knowledge of Windows-based programs, Microsoft Office Suite applications, email programs such as Gmail, Internet browsers such as Chrome, and Instant Messenger  
    • Understanding of Internet navigation and tools
    • Ability to multitask and navigate between multiple windows
    • Strong typing skills for note taking, data entry and correspondence
  • Ability to work in a heavy phone-based environment
  • A strong work ethic including an excellent attendance track record; dependability
  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal, written and listening
  • Strong phone skills including a professional, helpful presence
  • Excellent problem-solving and de-escalation ability
  • The ability to work independently and as a strong team member

The Role

Role Overview
Reporting to a Supervisor and joining a team of approximately 100 inbound Call Center Representatives, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service in a high volume call center. You will answer incoming calls from real estate professionals -- agents and brokers -- seeking information or assistance with our products. Each call will be different. You will help with everything from troubleshooting products & services to answering focused questions and general inquiries to billing assistance and more.    

Role Details
The call center is very busy and calls come in one after another. When you are finished with one customer, you will move on to the next, giving each the focused attention and level of service that you'd expect as a professional calling in. Your mission is to provide the service or solution that each customer needs, creating an outstanding customer experience while also providing accurate and appropriate information and solutions for each unique situation. You'll assist with dashboards/control panel inquiries, check on MLS listings, help with passwords and a plethora of other information. In most cases, you will be able to manage the call yourself. However, there will be times with a call needs to be escalated to one of our specialty teams or a supervisor. You will determine when escalation is required to meet the customer's needs. 

Each day you will:
  • Work extensively on the phone, taking calls throughout the day
  • Support customer questions, technical, billing, etc. via phone
  • Assist our customers in troubleshooting realtor.com® and other software products and services offered by Move™
  • Perform data entry into proprietary databases
